Elmora

Naming

The area's leading developers were the El Mora Land Company, and the area would be named after them. Elmora has been divided into two main sections, Elmora Hills, to the north, and Elmora, which is conveniently located near the Midtown NJ Transit Train Station.

The Warinanco Park is located in the middle of the Elmora area and is spread across 204 acres. The park was created on reserved natural land due to resident's fear of the overdevelopment of the area. The name Warinanco derived from a Native American tribal leader of the Hackensack people during 1664.
