Hi-Nella

The borough of Hi-Nella is located in the central region of Camden County in the state of New Jersey. The borough ranked as the state's ninth smallest municipality takes up only 140.8 acres. Some of the nearby communities include Somerdale, Stratford, Echelon, Magnolia, and Laurel Springs. The main roadways within the borough are North Atlantic Avenue, Warwick Road, Minnetonka Road, and Ogg Avenue. 

History

The small borough was incorporated in 1929, taking portions of land from Clementon Township. Historically its name came from the Native American's term that means high rolling knoll or high ground. Another legend has it coming from Nella, the wife of Lucious Parker that developed the estates in the 1920s.
