The historical building of Collins and Pancoast Hall was established in 1893 and held the St. Agnes Guild of the Grace Episcopal Church as its first live entertainment. During the early 20th century, the establishment was used for fashion entertainment, business meetings, and public get-togethers. For a short period of time, the Merchantville Historical Society also called the Hall its home.
In the summer of 2008, the Hall underwent a huge renovation, and the first floor, which was previously the Collins House Restaurant, is now the home of the Blue Monkey Tavern. The tavern has a 20-foot-square mahogany bar as the room's focus and a variety of seating for large and small parties.
The Blue Monkey Tavern hosts a Beer Festival two times during the year and invites over 70 food and beverage vendors to participate. The event is held on Chestnut Street and caters to craft beer enthusiasts from all over the state.
On the second floor, The Collins House remains a perfect setting to host your next special event. The high ceilings and exquisite detailing are why it's one of the most luxurious dining rooms in Southern New Jersey. The space can accommodate up to 100 people and is perfect for wedding receptions, corporate meetings, and parties for any occasion.
