Berlin Heights

The unincorporated community of Berlin Heights is located in Evesham Township within Burlington County, New Jersey.Some other communities that help form the township include Cambridge, Cropwell, Donlontown, Evans Corner, and Gibbs Mill. Kettle Run flows along the community's southern edge while Harmony Lake is positioned in the northern region.

History

The greater area that makes up the township, which was much larger initially, was first settled in 1672. Quakers, who followed a Protestant Christian set of denominations, came into the area seeking refuge from the persecution faced in England. Many had migrated to the region of early North America and began to build meeting houses.

Thomas Eves, one of the first landowners in the area, purchased much of the land. He sought to build homes and a means of livelihood by incorporating laws and justice. Eves was a signer of "The Concessions and Agreements of the Proprietors, Freeholders, and Inhabitants of the Province of West Jersey in America."

Neighborhood

The community has many trails within the Aerohaven, located to the north of the neighborhood off of Kettle Run Road. Although former trail walkers have claimed the trails were not visibly marked, they still enjoyed the challenge. 

The Kettle Run Fire Rescue, or Evesham Fire Rescue, is located off of Hopewell Road north of Chestnut Avenue. The fire company was founded in 1957 and originally used a garage on Hopewell Road. 

Education

Residents in the neighborhood have options on where to send their children for an education. The schools are part of the Evesham Township School District. These can include the following:
