William Dunlap Homes

The neighborhood is a district of Maurer and is located in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Convery Boulevard, Waltrous Avenue, and Amboy Avenue create the borders for the community. The area of the neighborhood covers an eleven-acre space just north of New Jersey Route 440. 

History

The area is home to the oldest public housing projects in the state of New Jersey. It was designed by Langan for the Perth Amboy Housing Authority and constructed from 1939 to 1940. The neighborhood consists of 17 two-story apartment buildings with 156 apartments. The area is home to many low or moderate-income households, and the monthly rent amount is based on income.
