Woodcrest Acres is situated in the central region of Camden County, New Jersey. The unincorporated community helps to make up the Voorhees Township along with Kirkwood, Glendale, and Kresson. Evesham Road runs across the northern portion of the area with White Horse and Haddonfield-Berlin Roads creating the southern borders of the triangle-shaped area. 


During the Civil War, one of the area's residents and prominent landowners, Edward Winslow Coffin, served in the Union Army. Coffin, later decorated as Major, founded the first field bakery. He invented an oven that was on wheels that he used to supply fresh bread to the Union Army soldiers. 

Coffin's family-owned and operated a farm on Evesham Road, known as Coffin Corner. On the estate was a house that was built before 1850. Prior to its demolition in April of 2021, the house was served as many different establishments over the years, including:

  • school
  • store
  • post office
  • stagecoach stop
  • commercial office


The median home price in the area is $377,991, making it more expensive than 51.5% of other neighborhoods in the state. Rent is lower than 94.9% of other communities and is approximately $1,318 per month. The area's 12.2% vacancy rate is higher than most in neighborhoods in the United States. 

Just north of Evesham Road is the Woodcrest Country Club. This golf course takes up 178 acres. The country club and course were built in 1929 and designed by William Flynn. Flynn was a well-known golf course architect during the 20th century. He is noted for his use of the area's natural terrain. The technical aspects were designed by Howard C. Toomey, a civil engineer. He is also known for his creative touch on many golf courses that were established during that time. The country club provides the following services:

  • event venue


As many as 16.7% of the neighborhood's townspeople were born outside of the United States. English is spoken by 81.8%, and 8.9% speak Polish. Other languages spoken include Spanish, Chinese, and the Languages of India. The breakdown of the resident's ancestries is the following:

  • 14.8% German
  • 12.0% Asian 
  • 11.5% Irish 
  • 7.9% English
  • 4.7% Russian
  • 1.7% Lithuanian

The area is home to predominantly wealthy households. The occupational breakdown of the employed residents includes:

  • 20.3% sales and service jobs
  • 13.9% clerical, assistant, and technical support positions
  • 7.5% manufacturing and laborer occupations
